Stay up to date with Child Safety Risks\u00a0with Child at Risk Refresher Training<\/h2>\n

This is a non-accredited refresher course for those who have previously completed nationally recognised training such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
\nCHCPRT002 Support the rights and safety of children and young people<\/p>\n

This course is also applicable to those who are not required to undertake nationally recognised training but are required to be aware of the indicators of abuse or neglect and how to respond.<\/p>\n

\u200b\u200bChild at Risk Refresher Course Overview:<\/h3>\n

Child at Risk Refresher Training is recommended to demonstrate compliance with Regulation 84 of the Education and Care Services National Law. As well as Education and Care Services National Regulations and Quality Area 2 of the National Quality Standard. Refresher training is designed to assist the participant in demonstrating up to date knowledge of the laws and their obligations to meet the requirements of Regulation 84.<\/p>\n

Regulation 84 Awareness of child protection law states \u201cThe approved provider of an education and care service must ensure that nominated supervisors and staff members at the service who work with children are advised of\u2014<\/p>\n

(a) the existence and application of the current child protection law; and<\/p>\n

(b) any obligations that they may have under that law.\u201d<\/p>\n

If you are a designated Mandatory Reporter, you are required by law to report suspected child abuse and neglect to government authorities. Are you confident in identifying the indicators of abuse and neglect and how to report these concerns?<\/p>\n

This non-accredited course has been designed in consultation with trainers with extensive experience in both day care and school environments. This unit will provide Child Care Educators and others with the skills and knowledge to support and protect children and young people who are at risk of harm.<\/p>\n
