Junior First Aid and Wellbeing Workshop: Teaching Children Life Saving Skills<\/h2>\n

Junior First Aid and Wellbeing Workshop introduces children Kindy to Year 6 with age appropriate basics in CPR, first aid and emotional regulation. This engaging Junior First Aid and Wellbeing Workshop combines practical safety skills with nervous system regulation techniques to help young children develop confidence and self soothing abilities.<\/p>\n

Through hands on interactive learning, children gain awareness in managing anaphylaxis, asthma, snake bites, bandaging and CPR basics while learning to manage big emotions and regulate their nervous system. This Junior First Aid and Wellbeing Workshop\u00a0empowers young children to assist in emergencies and develop emotional wellbeing skills that could literally save a life. From practicing CPR on manikins to using training epi pens and learning self soothing techniques, this 45 minute workshop gives children the practical knowledge and confidence they need.<\/p>\n

Workshop Topics:<\/h3>\n

Workshop content and resources are tailored based on session length and topics identified in the pre session consultation.<\/p>\n

Section 1: First Aid Awareness<\/strong> Fun and engaging introduction to basic first aid and CPR awareness. Covering first aid for anaphylaxis, asthma, snake bites, bandaging and CPR basics. Children get hands on practical experience with training epi pens, bandages and CPR manikins. With increased allergies in the community, we educate children how allergies may affect them and what to do if they witness a friend having an asthma attack or anaphylactic reaction. Arming juniors with basic first aid awareness could literally save a grandparent’s or friend’s life.<\/p>\n

Section 2: Nervous System Regulation<\/strong> Age appropriate techniques to help children manage big emotions and regulate their nervous system. Children experience self soothing strategies through experiential learning for maximum engagement. Mental health decline has reached crisis level. We need to educate juniors in emotional regulation early. This hands on process teaches children practical wellbeing skills they can use immediately.<\/p>\n
